Open Category

The Open Category gives you the opportunity to define your own topic. If you are studying a subject in school that would make a great website, but does not fit in the Water, Music, Engineering, Conservation or Colonialism & Conquest categories, you can enter it in the Open Category! You can build a website on any academic subject that interests you. While we are sure you will have many ideas of your own, we have provided links to some websites in the ThinkQuest Library for inspiration. These are all winners of past ThinkQuest competitions, and are excellent examples of well-made websites. (Please note that these websites are from competitions prior to October 2003. Since then, certain aspects of the competition have changed, including rules, evaluation criteria, tools, and server space available.) Now, get creative and have fun coming up with a topic of your own!
