Bill Peet - Author, Animator, Illustrator
If you are a fan of children's author Bill Peet, then this web site is for you. Mr. Peet is best known for his children's books and illustrations, but he also worked as an animator on many Disney animated films. It was his interesting background, plus our love of his books that made us create this page. It not only educates the visitor about Bill Peet, but it also provides information about many of his books. The page is designed to appeal to children of all elementary ages, much the way his books do. For student visitors, we provide summaries of many of his books, ideas for book projects you can do for school, and games designed around the information you learn from visiting the page. We also invite the visitor to send us their vote for favorite book, to send a summary for one of the books, which we did not cover, or to send in ideas for other creative book projects. For teachers, we provide information on how to use the books in the classroom. Since many of Bill Peet's books are written to teach a lesson, incorporating them into the classroom lesson plan provides an opportunity to encourage reading, teach values, and have fun all at the same time. We also invite teachers to provide us with additional ideas of how to use his books in the classroom.
