Teacher Resources (Lesson Plans, Worksheets)
In the first lesson, we were told on deciding a topic, first we thought of animals, but after thought, we reliased it was a large topic so narrowed it down to sharks. Then, we needed to allocate what each team member was actually going to do. Richard was most confident with using Dreamweaver so it was decided that he would create the website and the layout jobs. Dan was most confident with Paint dot net and Fireworks so he would create the graphics for the website, which left David, who wasn't confident with Dreamweaver or Fireworks, so he would do most of the research, which would be the base of information for our website.
In the later lessons, we began to create our website. We started off by constructing a mindmap of all of the information etc. that would need to be included in the website. The map included a mind interactive map which was created by Dan during the lesson and the following homework. Richard then began to create the Home Page which would be the main page for the website which was needed to linkall the other pages off of it. David began to research the information needed, going through the mindmap and researching each topic one at a time, so that it could then be typed up using the researched information as well as his own knowledge. Dan began by designing a logo for the site. this was done by tracing the basic outline of a shark and then build the picture up from there. He then went on to create a heading, or banner, for our site which was designed to keep the theme running throught the site by creating a sea-like background with the title 'SHARKS' on top of it. In the later lessons and homeworkshe went on to find some images to fit with the information. He then spent the rest of the time editing them and tidying them up so that they would look neater and seem more apropriate for the theme of our website.
Once sufficient information had been gathered, along with the apropriate images and logos etc. by Dan and David, Richard would then combined them to create the other required pages for our site, keeping a colour and layout theme running throughout all of them. A grey theme was chosen since this colour is often linked with both sharks and a cold, menacing atmosphere which we thought would be apropriate for the topic that we had chosen.
We are all from the same school, race and religion if any.
