Bagh Print: A Friend But Foe for Nature

Bagh, which lends its name to the Bagh prints is a small tribal town in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh. The khatri community, who comprise the 'chhipas' or printers came here about 400 years ago from Larkana is Sind which is famous for its Ajrak prints. Bagh's proximity to the river was an important reason for its choice as flowing river water is vital to the process of printing.

They collected the information from many places like Roopayan, National Institute of Fashion And Technology(NIFT) and District Panchayat of Dhar District.

The Team members gone to the various places for collecting information such as Gyandoot Office for taking permission to use their articles, NIFT to get the information of the tribals residing in that place and what the use to print the cloth and how did they print it, District Panchayat for information about what is going on to save the nature cuse of printing.
