Fort Ross: A Piece Right Out Of History
1999
Our site is all about a little-known place called Fort Ross, It was the farthest southern outpost of the Russian Empire, and it was in present-day California. We want to tell you about the people who lived there and about what they did there. Some of the things they did were: making baskets, pottery, marching, and hunting sea otters. We hope that other students will learn a lot about this unusual part of California's history.
