This site presents problems and discoveries in experimental atomic physics. Textbook-like, its contents spans 2,000 years of history, starting with Democritus, the Greek philosopher. A special section on the twentieth century provides information on x-rays, radiation, and the quantum theory. Historical background information on the scientists helps develop an overview of the achievements in this area. The site is in English and Polish.
