Marvels and Mistakes of Medicine

Our Thinkquest team wanted to do something that all kids could relate to. Most kids (and some adults) are afraid of going to the doctor or afraid of a disease they might get.To paraphrase Dr. Martin Luther King, people are afraid of what they don't know. We hope that by giving people knowledge of medicine, people will be able to make good choices about their health. We decided to include information on Aches and Pains, History of Medicine, Home Remedies, Childhood Diseases, and the gross part of medicine that we call Gross Anatomy.We also included some interactive sites and a chat room so kids could share experiences and get immediate feedback. We also hope this will make it fun!
