The HOPEnetwork

2000
The HOPEnetwork, the creation of ThinkQuest Team C001247, is an interactive journey through the world of cancer. The HOPEnetwork (HOPE standing for "Health Of People Everywhere") attempts to create the perfect learning environment by combining skillfully crafted educational articles covering 27 major types of cancer, an interactive quiz that rates your susceptibility to cancer, an interview with a medical oncologist, information targeted directly for patients and patient's families, and chat rooms, downloads, bulletin boards, and more! The HOPEnetwork, with its interactive portion (the iHOPEnetwork) and various other sections, was not created to be an art form. The HOPEnetwork was created with one purpose in mind: to facilitate learning about cancer in an appealing environment. The creators of the HOPEnetwork hope they have created this type of environment, where learning could be entertaining, if nothing else but to save one person from contracting one of the deadliest incurable diseases known to man: cancer.
