Civil War - Battle of Gettysburg

The purpose of this web page is to share our research and learnings regarding the Civil War, and more specifically, the Battle of Gettysburg. A good deal of our site is dedicated to the people who led others into battle and those who fought under them. We focused on the people, as it was the people our class found most interesting in their studies. We also included information on the music, poems and stories that came out of the war, since the soldiers used these to share their thoughts and fears of what they saw around them. The site also introduces its visitors to weapons of that day and the role African Americans played in the war.
