Team Collaboration

The team had students from two different countries and social background.

The Italian team comprising of Alessia M and Cornelia P from

Palombara Sabina, Italy concentrated on the Italian view of addressing the topic.

The Indian team comprising of Sumita S, Anurekha D and Deepita R from Kendriya Vidyalaya NFR Maligaon, worked on the Indian aspect for addressing the topic.

From the day one the teams divided their areas to work on the project.

The project was broken into fragments by assigning pages for a particular activity. The first few pages was kept for the Italian team and the remaining few were assigned for the Indian students. However the last few pages saw a mixture of ideas incorporated in a particular page beyond geographical borders.

Working on the narrative aspect was shared by all the members.

Creating videos and selecting images were also taken care by the entire team.

We were fortunate to get some original images from our coaches which were used to highlight our narration. Thanks to our coaches.

As our time zones were different we worked during the day and also interacted with our friends at Palombara through messages and emails for deciding on the next steps.

Team Diversity

The socio-cultural differences between the Indian and Italian teams have completed and enriched the knowledge of some geographic and historic aspects of the two countries, India and Italy, stimulating curiosity and adding to the members students of the two teams a real motivating factor to study with more passion and pleasure.

The Multi-cultural differences has added a flavor of ecstasy in the thought process of the students. Conceptualization at the ground level often played a big role in collection of materials.

The two Italian students, Alessia and Cornelia guided by the Italian coach Mrs Palazzo, have been really enthusiastic to work in this project. Cornelia is from Romania, but she is living and studying here in Palombara for about 6 years. She likes painting and studying a lot, she speaks Romanian, English, Italian and French. Alessia is a very good student, she likes studying too.At school she is always punctual with her homework. The two Italian students have organized a visit to Palombara carrying their digital cameras, taking photos of the most important places.Alessia worked mainly on the festivities and the sagra of cherries in Palombara, while Cornelia made videos, ppt and did photos and survey of the most important places in Italy. We organized a meeting at the travel agency Asiarca, carrying handycamera and cameras to record their interview.

The Indian Team with Anurekha D, Sumita S and Deepita R shared the work amongst themselves. While Anurekha did most of the visual content with images and movie, Sumita nd Deepita worked extensivly on the content. They collected materials from available web resources and the school library. The trio also designed surveys and quiz to generate awareness of their land and people. The use of surveymonkey and hot potatoes was also noticed. The team handled video camera and digital imaging to collect images and video.
