Computer games – from entertainment to addiction

2009
Our website explored on why people play computer games. We carried out surveys to find out why and for how long do teenagers play computer games. We investigated on the ways of being addicted to the games and ways to let teenagers play computer games wisely, under control and as entertainment only.

Team Collaboration

In this project, our group divided our work equally among ourselves. The team members which are the best in English mainly help us present our ideas into the webpage. While the members who are good at computer technology helped with the buttons and the links in the webpage. During this period of time, we did come across some problems, for example we cannot see the pictures in the website. We sought help from our teacher and our team worked together enthusiastically to finish this project.

Team Diversity

In our team, though our members come from the same country, we do have different cultures and religions, which lead to different ideas. The layout of the webpage is a good example. The five of us thought of different layouts , but as we are a team, the layout must be the same. In the end, we voted and chose the clearest and most beautiful for our final product. Though not everyone’s design was used, we learnt from each other’s design which reflected on our groupmates’ different cultures and backgrounds.
