Einstein's Weird World - The Theory of Relativity
1999
The Theory of Relativity is the most groundbreaking scientific theory of this century (along with Quantum Mechanics), reshaping our ideas of space and time. However, many people (especially high school students) are intimidated by its mathematics, or bored by too "soft" explanations. We aim to solve this by harnessing the power of the Internet. We have created a site which explains Relativity in Easy and Advanced stages, and also explores its Implications and its Applications. Students who are confused about aspects of articles can discuss them in the discussions found at the bottom of every article. This helps more advanced students help along those who are struggling, thus bringing together people from around the world. The site also makes use of standard technologies such as Java Applets and cross linking to further extend its educational use.
