Endangered Species of Florida

St. Thomas' educational objective for this entry has two main thrusts: 1. to expand on the students' knowledge of endangered species that they have already learned as part of their fourth grade unit on Florida 2. to become familiar with varied sources of currently available information, and to be able to assimilate this information into a well-written and documented multi-media presentation. Knowing that people from around the country would be reading their work, the students were particularly careful about doing accurate research, and in conducting careful editing sessions, on their own work, and on the work of their teammates. They worked very hard on their writing so that it would be clear for others to read. Being able to include drawings and photographs, create background colors, link to and for to other pages are new--and extremely exciting--parts of this experience.
