Team Collaboration
Students from Italy and India collaborated to this project with a different social and cultural background. The Italian team from Palombara Sabina, Matteo, Priscilla and Desirée at first have been helped by their classmates in preparing the content and the survey, including also some drawings while the Indian team Tanya, Ashvita and Samaya, was working and selecting the materials to use for the topic of this project. In a second moment Italian team started to communicate with the Indian team and planned the work with them, utilizing messages of ThinkQuest and e-mails, discussing and talking about the steps to follow in the work. Then each student started doing a survey about some poor countries. We shared some opinions and ideas using debates and the narrative aspect. We selected and draw some images to support our ideas about hunger and poverty. The Italian team has organized a Charity party at their school inviting a missionary nun from Bangladesh and getting videos and pictures from this event. Most of the pictures are original, took from our coaches and from some of us. We worked at school and at home, interacting among us after our school activities or in the evening as time zone was different in India and Italy.
Team Diversity
The socio-cultural differences between the Indian and Italian teams have completed and enriched the knowledge of some geographic and historic aspects of the two countries, India and Italy, stimulating curiosity and adding to the members students of the two teams a real motivating factor to study with more passion and pleasure.
