Blood Diamonds

2007
Blood diamonds are diamonds that are mined by young children and slaves to provide money to fuel civil wars in Africa. Rebels sell diamonds to distributors for lots of money so that they can buy guns, ammo, and vehicles so that they can fight the government. Often times slaves and children die or get seriously hurt from mining diamonds. This is why there is a conflict. Blood is shed so that rebels can continue to fight the government, and cause chaos in their country.
