Team Collaboration
Our work consisted in evaluating and bringing together information from all the resources we had access to. Through team work and a constant overlook on this project, we interviewed, gathered data from archives and documentaries, searching the best ways of transforming this project in a strong proof of Romanian history. Using our talent for literature, in the person of Maricica and Alina's gift for photography, Raluca's passion for reading and structure, we managed to outline the importance of real and solid proof of knowledge. Vlad and Raluca' s talent for foreign languages allowed them to do on their own the entire translation of the texts in English, and Alexandru showed his ability twoards creating web pages, giving our project its original touch.
We also required the help of our teacher-coach, that managed to teach us the importance of ambition and perseverance, showing us that anyone needs support in order to learn and appreciate history at its rightful place. Only by working in a well bonded team, we found out many things about each other and discovered our affinities for different hobbies.
Even if problems have occured and things weren't always as we wanted them to be, as members of the same team we supported each other and understood that only by work and faith our project will have the finality we dreamed of.
Being part of this competition has thought us to understand better that a human being needs its own values in order to sustain itself..the power of learning more about history's mistakes and avoiding future generations from repeating them resembles what we wanted in the first place: a better world for all of us.
Team Diversity
The diversity of our team has only showed us that people form different social backgrounds may collaborate on a project and discover that their differences only make them more united.
Maricica and Alina are both form the country, living with their families in the houses that their grandparents built.
Our sources regard internet data, information gathered from libraries and school, but also a more interactive form of recording people's testimonials in our community. The rural community wanted to help us with the development of this project and offered to answer our questions and tell, as long forgotten story, a piece of history from their own past.
This only made us feel more confident and willing to keep our relationships inside the community and restore our memories as living history. Due to the fact that Maricica, Alina and Raluca came from a rural area, where traditions have been sacred, we were able to record and use the materials they gathered.
Bearing in mind the fact that Vlad is Catholic, and the other four members are Orthodox, we did not encounter any difficulties in expressing ourselves through our religious believes, describing our attitude about God and martyrs.
Considering that we all have different ages, from 14 to 18 years old and having diverse hobbies and plans for our future, we managed to create a great team, without facing any problems in this aspect. By communicating and hard team-work, we were able to finalize this project in only one month, which meant an important amount of stress and effort on our shoulders.
We come from different profiles, the girls studying Social Sciences and the boys coming from a Chemistry profile; even if it may seem that these two profiles have nothing in common, this is the main reason that allowed our team to act so well in all the problems we faced during this project.
