The Gene School '99 is a comprehensive, educational site exploring the fascinating innovations and discoveries of genetic science. Designed to introduce genetics to those with little or no background in science, the Gene School '99 provides easy-to-understand language and gives detailed explanations of terms, concepts, and research techniques. Wherever possible, the site presents information without bias. While this site contains a vast amount of information, from the Medelian basics to the latest cutting-edge discoveries and experiments, the Gene School '99 also incorporates interactive elements including games, puzzles, opinion polls and other cool things, to make learning fun. Countless photographs, cartoons, and original graphics have also been included. Scores of links - many of them to the world's top genetic research centers, libraries, and journals - can be found throughout the site as well. Hundreds of teachers have utilized the Gene School '99 as classroom tools, making use of the lab experiments, teacher links, and information.
