Malaria has been around for 50,000 years. Although it is a curable disease, it remains to be one of the deadliest, an average 1.2 million deaths per year, mostly children. While most countries are seriously preparing for a pandemic disease which can be brought by SARS and/or Avian Influenza, few are taking efforts in doing something about Malaria.
