Over 8,000 websites created by students around the world who have participated in a ThinkQuest Competition.
Animals of the United States
The goal of USA Wildlife is to instruct children on animals that live in the United States in a fun interactive way. USA Wildlife was created by children for children. As students visit the web site, they will encounter three classifications of animals: Birds, Fish, and Mammals. Students will click on a region of the United States and encounter animals that are indigenous to that region. Participants are then able to click on specific examples of that region's wildlife. Within each region is a description of the animal's habitat, lifestyle, and diet. After students have become thoroughly familiar with USA Wildlife, they will have the opportunity to assess their knowledge. The quiz provides immediate feedback as to whether the participants answered the question correctly. The educational objective of USA Wildlife is to identify characteristics and recall facts about animals that live in the United States.
