A New Perspective on Science and Art

"Perspective art" was the fifteenth through seventeenth century answer to 3-D glasses: art so lifelike you want to touch it. Artists like Leonardo da Vinci wove the scientific principles of optics and illusion into their art, creating images that trick the eyes and fool the mind.
