Team Collaboration

We worked in pairs to research the various webpages we used to gather our information and then worked as a group to find photos for our gallery. Each of us chose the movie link that we used for the various categories and we all worked as one group putting the website together. It was very helpful that we each could assist one another and make suggestions on what worked or looked effective and what didn't. It brought us closer as classmates and friends. It was lots of fun although at times we did disagree on certain things. We enjoyed searching the Internet and showing each other what we had found and it was definitely a huge learning curve for each of us as this is our first attempt at putting together a website. Mrs Hutchinson assisted us as much as she could but left us to try things out and make mistakes so that we now know what not to do and exactly how websites are put together.

Team Diversity

Diversity played as we are a team made up of teenagers and boys and girls always differ on their ideas and ways of doing things. We also are classmates and we learnt how to work together and that different opinions do occur and compromises must be made. We took votes on decisions that had to be made. We worked at one anothers houses so got to meet each others parents and family so our friendships have definitely grown. It was also interesting to see how we deal with arguments and which of us like to take charge and delegate tasks. It helped also that we were a small team and had to count on one another to pull our weight or else the team would be let down. We also tried to keep one another motivated and positive especially when we had lots of school work and sport going on while trying to get our research done. We have also taken what we've learnt home to teach our parents and other friends. The rest of our class were quite jealous that we were seleted to be the first pupils in our school to try out for this competition. This was also something we learnt to deal with. It has been daunting, fun, nerve wrecking and a great learning opportunity for each one of us.
