Impact of Illegal Drugs

2009
Illegal drugs are threatening our society in a negative aspect. They are the leading source to all the negatively aspects that are occurring today in our community. Such as violence, purchasing weapons, crossing drugs on borders, distributing drugs to gangs, and practically start selling the drugs to people, but the most indicated buyers are teens. These unrighteous aspects assemble drugs to have power, and it is difficult to stop this dilemma.

Team Collaboration

We live in different parts of the city and meet three Saturdays a month from September to May at the Upward Bound Program, University of Texas at El Paso to work on our website besides our additional academic classes. It is hard for us to get together after school in the evenings and/or in the weekends due to our transportation issues. We phoned, texted and emailed each others frequently to iron out our difference and to come to an agreement from our various opinions. We worked very hard on our website and hope that you like it.

Team Diversity

Our team members come from different high schools in different parts of the city. Luis attends Eastwood High School; David in Del Valle High, Juan goes to Parkland High, and Kevin Burges High. Luis loves sports: football, soccer, and is in the Eastwood High’s gymnastics team, David is a basketball player at Del Valle High, Juan’s favorite sports is soccer and has been in varsity for over three years, and Kevin likes sports as well and to read. Our love of the sport is our passion; otherwise, we are really different in personality, thinking, implementation and communication styles. The Upward Bound Program is the unity to make us friends.
