Our site, "Get the Latest Dirt on Soils!" gives scientific information on that precious resource - soil. This site tells about the formation and composition of soil, types of soil, soil profiles and conservation of soil. Included are several experiments and activities designed to help one discover and learn about soil characteristics. There is a section where we test and explain the characteristics of our local soil. Visitors are invited to submit information and data on the soil profile and characteristics of soils in their area.
