The fun of building toothpick bridges is in smashing them, right? Here's an excellent site where you can do all that without the mess. First, read the basic discussion of statics, which is "the study of the forces in structures and objects without acceleration." Then you can build structures such as bridges and towers with the Builder program, and destroy them with the Tester. You can also view your and other amateur engineers' finished products.
