Five Fantastic Elements

Our web page includes many interesting facts about chemistry. We chose chemistry as our subject because if you walked up to an average kid and asked him to name as many elements as he or she could, he would say something like, "Oxygen, Plutonium, Titanium, Gold, Silver, Earth, Fire" It is almost alarming how little the average child knows about chemistry. If you were to ask him or her what the periodic table was, they might stare blankly at you for a minute before asking, "Isn't that the new restaurant on the corner?" Michael asked a few kids in his neighborhood these questions, and these were two of the answers he received. We want to help educate other children about atoms, molecules, and elements. Even if we don't win the Think Quest competition, we will have accomplished our goal as long as we can get ten kids to learn from our website. ___________________________________________
