How will learning about the way schools operated in the past and in the present prepare students for future schools? How advanced was technology in schools in the recent past? What types of technology are used in schools today? How did students get to school in the last 20 years? How might students get to school in the future? What school supplies did students need in the past and now? What types of school supplies might students need in the future? Will subjects differ from the past? What subjects will be favorites?

Team Collaboration

Team members were enthusiastic about the project from the beginining. They selected their topic and divided the sections (past, present, and future) and began their research. The collaborated with each other when searching for different items to include, as in finding a picture that might work perfectly in another team member's page.

When one of the team members would be absent, the others would continue their work and supported the absent member when they returned to school.

Time was a limitation as the coach only sees these students twice a week. The students worked in the evenings on some of the research in order to complete the project.

Team Diversity

There is not much diversity in rural schools in West Virginia. This applied to this team. All three team members were from Christian households with education being important in their homes. None of the students were living at poverty level. They are middle class families for this area, but probably drop when compared to incomes across the nation.
