Team Collaboration
To complete the project we divided the subjects between members, based on their interests. We each worked on our section of the site by ourselves and when questions arose we were there to assist our teammates. Bailey worked on the unemployment rates, Sarah worked on the rising prices, Sara worked on the housing crisis and North America's economy, Amber worked on Europe's ecnonomy, and Bri created the stock market page. Bri just happened to be skilled in the field of HTML codes and editing pictures as well as everything else "techical" on websites. Bri was put to the task of coding the website. We all came together towards the end to choose the general layout and colors of the site. One challenge that our group overcame was our very different opinions. We never seemed to agree on what colors to put on the site but we compromised by creating totally new colors everyone was happy with. Another issue was time. Our topic was fairly large and we, as a group, had a lot of information to work with. When we got to the end everyone seemed stressed and had even stronger opinions. But throughout the experience we all became more informed and learned new information about the topic of Failing Economy and each other. Collaboration was a major point in our operation as a team. Everybody was interlinked with their responsibilities to help everyone else in the group. Amber was overloaded with the mass of having to do the global economy and other large topics. Sara had already finished her topic of the housing crisis and she began to help Amber with her topic to take off some of the stress. When others were in need of assistance or help when either they had a frustrating problem or a puzzling question they could always go and ask another teammate, we would all help each other. As a team we were reliant upon each and every one of us. We were able to use everyone's personal strengths to enhance our website and the content within.
Team Diversity
We come from a society where we are all born in the United States of America but have different religious and ethnic backgrounds. Amber is a Lutheran Christian and comes from a French-Indian and German ethnic background mix. Bri is a Catholic Christian and is half Polish and a quarter Ruthenian with the remaining quarter being a variety of European ethnic groups including French, Scottish, and more. Sarah is Catholic Christian and is from a family background of French and German. Sara is a Non-Denominational Christian from a German family background. Bailey is a Catholic Christian from a French, German, Irish, and Scottish family ethnic background.
