In what ways can students encourage other students to read? Using the Internet, we can create a web site that will encourage others to read. Tomes for Kids will introduce fourth through sixth grade students to six young adult authors and some of their books. It will provide access to a quiz that the user can take to determine if a particular book or author might be appealing. It provides information about the authors and short reviews about some of their books fourth through sixth grade students might find interesting. A top ten list of books was created. It is hoped that there will be feedback from users regarding their favorite books. The top ten list can then be modified to reflect the views of the users.
