Team Collaboration
Our team went through some ups and downs during this competition, but in the end, we came through for each other. We divided-up the work so that each person had a section of the website to do, and then, when we did the reflections, about us page, reference, and acknowledgements page we also divided the work. This turned out to be a very effective technique. We met everyday in school and shared new findings, information, and accomplishments. By the time we were finished, we each had done an equal amount of the work.
Each member had a stength to help the team. Hera was a fantastic writer. She wrote so much that we had to make her work into three seperate pages! She also helped each of us edit our writing and she created the "Reflections page." Neda accomplished not only her portion of the website, but she helped all of the other members make internal links on their pages. She also created the "About Us" page. Ayesha was also made a big contribution towards this website. She put together the whole bibliography and did her own page. Alka was the main "designer" of the team. She made her own page, fixed up all of the other pages, made sure they looked good, and did the acknowledgements page. This is how our team worked together.
Team Diversity
Our team members came from all over the world. Ayesha is from Pakistan, Alka is from India, Hera is from Lebanon, and Neda is from Iran.(We were born in America, though.) Although India and Pakistan are long-time enimes,we made sure that our website wasn't affected by that, and it turned out well. In fact, we didn't even think about race during this project! Since chocolate is made from cacao, which is grown in South America, we got to do some research about that great continent, and experience a part of the world none of us really new about. In the end, diversity enhanced our website because we got to see multiple perspectives about a topic, and work togther.
