Sunnykey Island, a Hurricane Simulation

The Sunnykey Island Hurricane Simulation webpage was designed by a group of 5th grade students to promote hurricane safety in a fun, interactive way. The objectives for this webpage are: To incorporate research and writing skills into an informative webpage design. To apply elements of design in the artwork and layout of the webpage. To promote safety procedures in the possible event of a hurricane. To design a fictitious town by incorporating real elements that are necessary in order for a community to function. To apply geography and math skills into the designing of maps and scales used on the webpage. To promote the use of technology and the internet as an interesting educational alternative.
