Everyday Choices

2009
This website presents how everyday choices influence us and focuses on the impact a small decision may have on the long run. It is addressed to everyone regardless of age and cultural background and we think that the contents of this site might help people in their decision-making process in the future. We compress in our project some basic psychology knowledge, personal opinions and scientific facts and draw adequate conclusions. We hope that it will prove useful and it will put the small decisions you make into a new light.

Team Collaboration

Our team is made up of 6 members who were designated different tasks throughout this project. Everyone had a specific assignment, for example our web designer who is the one behind all the technical part, processed the movie on the home page and did the “Figures” page. The co-web designer helped with the graphics and flash work and also with the results of the survey. The photography, interviews and most of the content was developed by Leyla with help on the last part from Catalina who, besides correcting the content, drew the comic. Trang helped with the survey, questioning a part of the people necessary. The research for the axioms and quotes was done by Maria.

Like all teams, we encountered a few problems and it was pretty hard to get everyone to do their jobs properly in the beginning, mainly because of the excessive schoolwork. Also, we found out about the project just a month before the deadline so an amount of tension was in the air. In time we have learned to cooperate and we believe that putting together this website helped us a lot with our team spirit and taught us to be more tolerant and learn how to solve diverse communication problems. In the end, we believe that we had a lot to gain from this experience and we are glad we were a part of this.

Team Diversity

Team Diversity

Due to the fact that a couple of team members have different nationalities and therefore a different social background, we had diverse ideas and distinct working habits. Despite all this, we did not encounter any specific problems and everything worked out well. Most of the members were born and live in Romania. However, Trang and Leyla (who is half Turkish) were born and brought up in other countries like Vietnam and Russia. We currently live in Romania.

Even though we have various religions, beliefs, traditions, we came together into a solid team combining our strengths in making the best project that we can.
