Californian Native Americans

1997
We often think of California as home to movie stars and miles of freeways, and sometimes forget that the land was inhabited by large numbers of indigenous peoples before the Europeans arrived. This site explores the history and lifestyle of the Ohlone tribe, discusses the missions built in the area, and highlights the oppression natives endured at the hands of those who moved into the region. This site is both in English and Spanish.
