Time Shift

2009
Our website is about an ordinary family that lives in the year 2059. The family goes on vacation to Mars and encounters all sort of problems. Our website is based on solving these problems. We give our view of how problems will be solved in the future and also show how the technology of the future will have solved the problems we face nowadays.

Team Collaboration

Our group was formed using the Belbin test, a test that shows certain qualities of each member of the team. Denyse was chosen leader of our team. After the Belbin test we started working on our website, but suddenly one person of each team had to leave. Denyse, the leader of our team, left and started working in another team, but some unhappy team members were left behind. Some people in our team didn’t work properly, and I wanted to leave. Fortunately I couldn’t because after a discussion with our coach and team we came to the decision that we all had to work really hard to finish this project. So we did, and a few weeks later our website started to become a real website. We were all working really hard, and we really tried to get a nice end-result. We even spent evenings at our teacher’s place to get some extra information about the programs we were using to form the website. Yannick and I learned how to work with Adobe software especially Dreamweaver, while Rogier, Saskia and Carlos were working on the quiz and their texts. All members of the team had to write a text about a certain topic in the future, for example healthcare, and look for pictures that fitted with the texts. Now our website is finished, and we’re happy with the end-result, even though we could’ve used some more time.

Team Diversity

Our team exists out of 5 members, two of them were not born in The Netherlands. Yannick was born in Curacao, and Rogier was born in Japan. The members that were born in the Netherlands differ quite a lot as well. Carlos and Saskia both live in the City, while Eline lives in a small village on the countryside. Despite these differences we could get along quite well. Each member of the team has his own qualities. Our religions also differ. Some people are Catholic, while others are Atheists. This helped us with showing different opinions about certain topics. We think that our team diversity has helped us to successfully create this website.
