Adolescent Adulthood

2000
The name Adolescent Adulthood, is a tricky one. Is this relationship advice for teenagers or for childish grown-ups? Well, it's for those teenagers--or anyone else--who don't want to turn into childish grown-ups. It's the older sister you never had, coaching you on the finer points of dinner and a movie (don't tuck your napkin in your belt), opening lines (never "What's a nice girl like you."), and ending lines (always "It's my fault, not yours"). The flirting guide is universal; its pecking-to-necking program is precise without being laughably earnest. Each bit of advice comes with a sensible "If she's not interested, don't push it" caveat. Adolescent Adulthood doesn't push it, either, going no further than you should on the third date."
