Team Collaboration

Collaboration

- The team had regular meetings in school breaks, on a weekly basis. They also held 'milestone' meetings, where they checked their progress against a set of goals they had set for themselves.

- The team set up a Google Site to be able to collaborate in the summer holidays (Dec. 2008/Jan. 2009). They used the site to mail each other (through a forum), have a checklist of things to do, and to remind them of their team principles.

- Each team member contributed ideas to the web design. The team had a few brainstorming sessions to determine the design, content and structure of the website.

- Michelle, who lives in Namibia (a neighbouring country to South Africa), used her distance to the team's advantage, by doing an interview with a local farmer.

- Adriaan worked closely with Danelle to produce the Nemus superheroes Flash animation. Danelle had very interesting ideas and Adriaan realized the ideas.

- The team members inspired each other through what they did. An example is the video that Johannes created for the introduction, which inspired the others a lot.
