The Medieval Castle

Through the interactive maps of a fortified city and a castle, we enter the medieval world for a fantastic travel through time. You may discover ancients trades, the commerce, and the hard life in the fields, and enter the town walls, exceeding the control of the guards. Once crossed its imposing fortifications, the visit of the castle begins. You will face several rooms, from the large kitchen to the luxury of the banquet room, the basements, the landlord?s bedroom. You will follow the daily life of the lord as well as that of the humblest servant. Thanks to the interactive objects of the images and to the connections, you may discover many curiosities: the hygiene and medicine, the feeding, the clothing, music and much more. You will experience a state of siege, discovering the war techniques, you may take part in the training of a hawk and follow the construction of a tower or accompany a squire in the investiture to knight. You may know the world around the castle, among the beliefs, the habits, the first scientific acquaintances and the role of the church. In the cutaway view of the castle you will find informations on the evolution of the castles, on the regulations of the joust, on heraldry. Besides this site supplies an historical sight of the age, a glossary, a game for testing out the learned notions, and the possibility to be guided through a route. Every argument is correlated by numerous links, drawings and technical schedules.
