Team Collaboration

We shared our ideas together and respect each of our comments about what we have done. Two of our group members, Charmaine and Karen had recorded some videos. Natalie has done a wonderful chart due to the results of a survey we did with our schoolmates. Connie has done most of the composing and typing. I, Noreen Chui have done the edition of the whole website and the uploading too. During the project, we faced a lot of problems. When we did the survey, some of our schoolmates refused to do it. Honestly, we didn’t know what to do at that time. With the help of our teachers, all the schoolmates took this survey seriously at last. Another problem we faced is technical problem. We have recorded some videos but we didn’t know how to put them on the websites. Luckily, our coach Mrs. Ho kindly taught us using her own lunch time. There was also difficulty in uploading. We didn’t know that the file names cannot contain special characters and we have found that our home page was not available. But if we rename the file, we must change the hyperlink too. That’s not all. The worst thing is among all of us, only Charmaine know how to do so and she was on a trip when we have found this problem. So, she taught me how to do it by using mobile phone, aboard.

Team Diversity

We all live in Hong Kong so there aren’t many differences in cultures. For religion, one of us is Christian. Some of her ideas are different with us. At first, we weren’t used to it but we have now learnt to respect everybody’s points of view. There is one more big problem: she have to go to church every Sunday. It is the best time for us to work together since our school work is heavy but she is not free on that day. So we have tried our best to attend every meeting of this project and let participate in every part of it. Because of school work, we haven’t got much time to work on the project. Sometimes when some of us have finished her work, the others haven’t. It is hard to have every one of us free and work together in front of the computer (using MSN) to talk about the project. Also, some of our parents don’t let us use the computer during weekdays because they want us to revise. Although the diversity of our team had made this project really difficult, we still overcome all the difficulties and have now finish our website.
