The objectives of this entry is to tell the story of the beginning history of the Ancient World covering the time period of 10,000 B.C. to 200 B.C. It examines how farming began after the Ice Age and how the first civilizations began to emerge. It also details how people lived in the past, what they believed in and how they dressed. The emphasis is on the civilizations that grew around large bodies of water and included Mesopotamia, Egypt, Indus Valley, China, Minoan and Myceneans.
