Team Collaboration

Team collaboration and communication was not a problem for the most part. Everyone got to choose their subtopic and divided the tasks equally. All the members had different strengths and weaknesses, however, we overcame the challenges that faced our team. With those individual strengths, it helped the team out in many ways. Yeana was extremely outgoing throughout the entire project and taught herself how to use Adobe Flash so she could make the amazing flash animation on our homepage. Tien volunteered to the bibliography and did a fabulous job on it! As team captain, and because she is excellent at grammar, Amy edited everyone's writing, and pointed out things that could improve their writing. She also set up the About Us page, made the cute avatars of the team members, and gave lots of positive and negative feedback to the team. Joanna made an effort to search for HTML templates that the team could possibly have used in the website. Peyton was gone for a few days because she had to go to a soccer tournament in Las Vegas. However, she caught up with the group and did a wonderful job on the codes! The fact that all of us were in the same school and working as a group during class was a big advantage to us that many other people in the competition don't have. The computer lab that our history teacher has also helped greatly. The use of ThinkQuest, phone, and e-mail also made communication very easy.

Team Diversity

The team diversity was a very important factor for the creation our website. Each member has their own differences, beliefs, and things that make them who they are. Our group consists two Koreans members, one Chinese member, one Vietnamese member, and one Caucasian member. We have a pianist and one violinist. We have one member who is Christian, one Catholic member, Atheists, and one Jewish member. We have one member on a soccer team, two members on a debate team, and we also have four members in a service class. Despite all our differences, our team worked hard to come up with the best product that they could possible.
