Physics of Ball Games
2001
Ball and body of player in several ball games are filmed by a video camera. Joining image sequences in a unique image we obtain a stroboscopic view of the movement. Furthermore a short film of image sequences can be seen. The image can be analyzed and we obtain velocity of the ball in free flight, effect of surfaces on bouncing and the effect of air drift in special conditions. The results already obtained are very beautiful and interesting and are useful for discussion of technical aspects in ball games sport. These images are displayed in our site and we will inform relevant information about ball games.
