1998
One of the educational objectives of this entry was to help children ages 9 - 12 learn about six main parts of the human body which are the liver, brain, heart, intestines, lungs, and kidneys. A description, function, and illustration were part of each individual's component.
Another objective was to provide research skills in looking up each part of the body, not only in books but also multimedia resources. Once the information was obtained, note taking and writing skills were part of this process.
Members of the team also learned how to work together as a group in completing this project and developed social skills.
Another objective was to improve the technological skills of each team member. Members learned how to scan graphics, create Web pages using Netscape
Composer, and upload the Web pages using File Transfer Protocol software.
