Weather Gone Wild

Weather Gone Wild is a scientific web site that explores the wonders of weather. Our topics include: hurricanes, tornadoes, thunderstorms, floods, tidal waves, snow, wind, El Nino and La Nina. We also include general weather topics appropriate to our topic: weather maps and the water cycle. It will provide students with an interactive method to investigate topics that reflect the New Jersey Core Curriculum Standards in science. Our site provides a great deal of educational material in an exciting and entertaining format. Each page addresses a weather phenomenon, and includes: causes, effects, safety tips, and other facts. Each page has vocabulary words linked to a glossary, to enhance understanding of the content. Visitors are invited to share their own weather stories on our site. They can post experiences, safety tips, disasters, and other responses. The site will expand with each addition. It is possible to visit our site to research a specific weather condition, or explore new areas of interest. It is designed to pique the curiosity of all learners.
