It is not possible for us to cover the entire spectrum of outdoor adversities, and this website doesn't intend to try. Our site will help you prepare for common emergencies that could take place in the different regions of the Pacific Northwest. Our site will introduce how to start fires, build shelters, provide basic first aid, signal for help, and find suitable food and water. After visiting our site you'll know a lot more about staying alive, and perhaps you'll enjoy the outdoors a little more because of it.

Where do you live? Do you think you are safe from danger? What endanger you?
Let's answer the questions. No. 1. We live in Earth. No. 2. I don't think so.
Many things can endanger us such as landslide, erosion, flood, vulcanoes eruption, fire, polution and many other. And most of dangerous things are caused by human error.
In this project, our team try to tell you about Plastic Waste that can be very dangerous for our health. Is it really?
Let's see!
Plastic is a kind of material that cannot be discompossed. When plastic waste is thrown everywhere it can damage our soil. When it is thrown into the river, it will cause flood. How should we do to destroy this waste? Burn it ? NO. It will be air polution. What about burrying under soil? No, Don't do that because it cannot discompossed and cause land polution.
Polution will cause some deseases and it will endanger our health.
One thing that we can do with this waste is to recycle. But it is not easy to do. Beside that it will be very expensive.
In our project we ask people to try to use another material to change plastics. What is it ?
May be we can use paper or banana leaves like long time ago or another one.
Is it possible? Why not?.
If everybody realizes how dangerous plastics waste is, we think we can do that. This is our solution.

How terrible! This year, two students from our school have been seriously hurt because they didn't practice good safety. One of our classmates had multiple burns on his legs and arm from not playing with fireworks responsibly, and even worse, another classmate was recently hit by a car and dragged on the street. She is still in the hospital recovering from her many injuries. Another student from a nearby school also was injured by a moving vehicle and he died.
The reason why we chose to do our project for ThinkQuest Junior on safety is because we've noticed that children are not practicing good safety strategies. Many children, our peers, get hurt because they don't know or forget safety practices when they come across potentially dangerous situations because they may not realize how important it is. To help young children begin to realize this we feel it has to be brought to their attention, but within a "fun" learning environment and in a way that will encourage adults to share more with them so that they will be able to remember what they've learned better.
Resources we spoke with shared how within the past ten years, the number of safety education programs have gone done because of dwindling funds from states and counties and coincidentally, more injuries which have been safety related have been reported.
Our contribution to the effort of educating about safety is our website, 911-Safety Rage!

Our web site, American People Under the Gun, will inform people of the dangers of guns. It also informs people on how they can help. It considers two points of view. People who are for gun control and those who believe the gun laws are already strict enough. An estimated 1.2 million elementary school-aged children come home to a house with a gun and no parent. One hundred seven preschoolers lost their lives to firearms (homicides AND accidents) in 1994.The news reports more and more gun related incidents in our schools. This is a current and serious problem that we believe needs to be addressed.
