A chaotic washing machine? That's right. In 1993, Goldstar Company created the first consumer product to exploit "chaos theory." This washing machine was supposed to produce cleaner and less-tangled clothes. Chaos theory attempts to explain the fact that complex and unpredictable results can and will occur in systems that are sensitive to their initial conditions.
