Prominent Figures of the 20th Century

2000
When mankind is about to enter a new century, we have to look back to find and appreciate those who -with work and effort- have shaped the lives of many people all over the world during the twentieth century. In many fields of life, there were leaders who influenced us and showed us the way to a better life, better present and better future. One of those was the Indian leader Mahatma Ghandi who led his people to freedom, and the South African leader, Nelson Mandela, who fought for his people's rights. Many political and military leaders played great roles in their peoples' lives. Like Adolf Hitler as one of the most powerful dictators of the 20th century, and we can say that he launched World War II. The way we live now at the beginning of a new century is a result of hard work of many scientists and inventors during the twentieth century, like Albert Einstein. We can never ignore those who gave pleasure to all nations with their talents in art like Om Kalthoum the Egyptian singer who sang not for the Arab nations only but for the whole world. Others gave us striking examples how -by faith- no difficulty could stop them from reaching their goals like the American author Helen Keller. In our site we try to give enough information about some of the leading personalities of the twentieth century in several fields of life hoping that this site may help people know and realize how these people have strongly affected our lives.

The Greatest Personalities Of Our Millenium

1999
Our team's entry is entirely dedicated to the young generation of the whole world. We think that now a days it is necessary for every girl and every boy to know something important from their history and that way perhaps to learn the history itself or, even more, become one of the greatest in the future. That is why we chose the theme "The Greatest Personalities of Our Millenium". The program provides a brief information about every person who had contributed to the evolution of our society. It is separated to different sorts of science and art. But, of course, it is not everything that should be included. The entry is just a short account on the most popular personalities. And we hope that people all over the world will get it, add something they know more and that way the program will be refined and increased.
