Another goal was to make learning about the senses more interesting and exciting through the use of technology. For example, we used several visual aids and created links to other interesting Web sites. We hope to make the students' learning experiences more active and to allow them to have some hands-on activities. We feel that through the use of visual aids, "Sense-sational Activities" and "Sense-sational Facts" students can better understand the information.

One of the educational objectives of this entry was to help children ages 9 - 12 learn about six main parts of the human body which are the liver, brain, heart, intestines, lungs, and kidneys. A description, function, and illustration were part of each individual's component. Another objective was to provide research skills in looking up each part of the body, not only in books but also multimedia resources. Once the information was obtained, note taking and writing skills were part of this process. Members of the team also learned how to work together as a group in completing this project and developed social skills. Another objective was to improve the technological skills of each team member. Members learned how to scan graphics, create Web pages using Netscape Composer, and upload the Web pages using File Transfer Protocol software.
