John Muir in East Lothian

A site dedicated to one of East Lothian's most famous sons, John Muir. Born in Dunbar in 1838, John Muir was enchanted by the natural world. He travelled to America as a young man and, inspired by the rugged wilderness of California, started the Sierra Club. Today, visitors to Yosemite and other National Parks are following in his footsteps.
