Kids Kite Site

1999
The Kids Kite Site is a kite site geared toward elementary school aged students. The buttons are linked to different kite topics: kite history, types of kites, flying kites, making kites, and a kite game. The team chose this topic because they enjoy flying kites in New Mexico's climate, and wanted to find out more about kite-flying. During their research, the team learned about the different types of kites, how they can be made at home, and the kite's interesting history. They enjoyed drawing pictures of kites and struggled with deciding how to write the steps for making a kite. The team and coaches also learned of the frustrations of using Front Page.

1999
This home page is dedicated to Onggies, traditional antique Korean pots. At first glance, Onggies may appear to be nothing more than ordinary and somewhat crude old pots. However, a closer inspection reveals that they in fact possess special qualities of beauty and wisdom, and these dormant qualities lend to an appreciation for the ancestors who produced them. The purpose of this homepage: Our dedication to celebrating the Onggie style of pot allows us to provide a glimpse of the wisdom and spirit of our ancient artisans, and allows us to preserve the remnants of our ancient cultural heritage. This homepage consists of 7 different main menus. The introduction provides an informative overview of Onggies for those who are unfamiliar with this traditional style of pot. The second section discusses the various changes Onggies went through during certain historical periods. The third section provides information on the production of Onggies, with several accompanying illustrations. The fourth section elaborates on the systematic features of Onggies in general. The fifth section presents newspaper articles dedicated to the two artisans who maintained a meagre existence while attempting to collect and preserve the ancient Onggies for posterity. The sixth section describes the preparation of the environment designed specifically for the appreciation of the beautiful Onggies. Additional information and clasifications of the Onggies may be provided upon request.
