We are making a web site to educate kids about historical events in a fun, enjoyable way. We will try to get as many different views and opinions on topics from people around the world. We will show examples of prejudice and friendship and try to incorporate games, quizzes, surveys, and other fun activities. We will also show examples from the award winning novels The Witch of Blackbird Pond by Elizabeth George Speare (the story of a girl who was wrongly accused of being a witch) and Johnny Tremain by Esther Forbes (the story of a young boy's struggle with his crippled hand during the Revolutionary War). Also, we will relate examples in the text to other similar historical events. We will use different unique sources to gather our information. We will also try to support our information with different opinions and teaching methods. This is how we are going to make a web site teaching kids about prejudice, friendship, and history.
