This project on Stonehenge was an optional way to do their research project. This project incorporates the 3 "T's" - what some say has replaced the 3 "R's" in education. Those 3 "T's" are Technology, Teamwork and Thinking. In order to be successful in this day and age, students must be adept at all three. The parents of my students, as well as the technology department of my district, are in wholehearted support of these objectives. In addition to the skills the students have learned, the parents of my students also feel that their children have learned very valuable, life-long lessons as well.

Frances and Mallory, who have both visited England, provide a fourth-grade view of the nation's popular culture(including television and pop music), landmarks and the royal family. A link page that takes the viewer to more information about England is provided. The students selected sites that told more about the culture and students about their age in England. The authors hope that all who visit their pages will come away with an appreciation for England and what it has to offer. Perhaps some will be inspired to visit England for themselves. What comes through strongly to other students is a very clear voice of another student. There is nothing pretentious about the writing, and reads much like a conversation between children. Because of this, the tone of the webpage is welcoming rather than stuffy. The information on music and television will attract the attention of their peers. While the popular culture information is not wholly academic, it definitely has a place. The more scholarly information on the royals is appealing to students as well: for example, the anecdote about Queen Elizabeth belonging to the Girl Scouts.
